Sleeve Notes
One of my goals in 2024 was to post a blog, every week for a year. Here I am, 52 weeks later having completed this goal and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would!
I have learnt quite a lot about myself during the process as well.
So as I say a fond farewell to the 'Now Coaching' series, here are my reflections on how blogging has supported, challenged, excited and motivated me in the past year.
Three Good Bits
Continuously learning about myself while writing each blog.
Re- introducing myself to tools I have used in my Learning & Development career, which I had put on the back burner and became a bit 'rusty' with.
Trying out new things (to me) like video/audio elements in blogs.
Three Challenging Bits
Seeing some posts not get the engagement I hoped for.
Putting posts out without putting extra marketing monies behind them (my choice) to push to a wider audience.
Posting 'true to me' blogs while still putting in words to help the search engines find me!
Three Rewarding Bits
Apart from some research to help my creativity, writing 52 posts in my own words with no additions from Chat GPT or AI. Aligns with my purpose...to write from my own head and heart.
Seeing engagement and appreciation from my readers...thank you.
Considering now, how I can re-purpose some of these blogs in a new development venture I am working on with former colleagues.
(And yes, I may use Chat GPT and/or AI going forward...when my brain needs a rest!)
What's next?
A selection of new monthly stories will start appearing from March.
In what form they take I still haven't decided.
Of course, at the heart of them will always be coaching and motivation.
So, see you in a months time and again, thank you for all your support over the last 52 weeks!
All the best, Ian.
